Crowns & Bridges
A crown is a type of dental restoration used to fix teeth that have been broken, weakened by decay or have a very large filling. The crown fits over the remaining part of a prepared tooth, making it strong and giving it the shape of a natural tooth.
Root Canal Therapy
Root canal treatment (also called Endodontics) is needed when the pulp inside your tooth becomes infected through tooth decay or damaged by an injury to your mouth. The treatment overall should feel no different to having an ordinary filling placed.
Jaw Problems
We’ll check your bite, often referred to as TMJ disorder, which can cause some people to clench the jaw and grind their teeth at night. This can lead to facial pain, headaches, discomfort and clicking when biting or chewing, migraines as well as neck and shoulder pain, even back pain.
Tooth Extraction / Oral Surgery
]If you have advanced tooth decay or an impacted wisdom tooth, you may require oral surgery to have them safely extracted. Dentists have the right equipment and sterile environment in which to perform this type of procedure with the utmost care and your recovery can be fairly quick.
Inlays & Onlays
Inlays and onlays are two types of restorations for a cavity in your tooth that is too big to be filled. An inlay is a small filling that fits into the biting surface of a tooth while an onlay covers a larger area of the tooth and is better suited to bigger cavities. Made from tooth-coloured porcelain and gives the restored tooth a more natural look, which many patients prefer.
Mouth Cancer Screening
Studies show that mouth cancer is on the increase and that early detection dramatically improves the chances of recovery. The screening involves a thorough examination of your whole mouth, including the use of a handheld scanning device that is used to examine any lumps or lesions that you might have.
